I Just Wanna Sew!

I have been so busy at my computer, I think my sewing machine forgot who I am!  Not good!

I have been loading a brand new website (wow, that takes time and brain power), I recently traveled to Denver to film a Craftsy class (more on that in the day to come), I have been getting ready for Road to California (I am such a lucky girl to be listed as faculty)!

I am starting to wonder if I remember how to sew.  I seem to think it is like riding a bike.  Let’s find out:

DSC_0090I am in love with the Handcrafted fabrics that Alison Glass designed.  I created a quilt called Hampton (story on that in a blog for January).  Hampton will be available on my new website as soon as it goes live, wish I could tell you exactly when that will be, but I don’t even know, soon, I hope.  Well, here is Hampton:DSC_0089I had left over fabric!  I am a lucky girl!  So, I decided to make another pillow (I have 3 included with the pattern).  I love to hand applique, so I just started in with the petal shape.  Well, I decided this set of applique petals needed to grow up into a quilt, not just a pillow.  I have no idea what the quilt will look like.  I usually have a complete design created in EQ7, but this time I’m gonna wing it and see what comes.I am sewing, sewing, sewing! I am happy! I haveDSC_0091 decided that since I have 16 fabrics in the center, I can make 16 blocks to go around that center.DSC_0092

I hope to get these made today and have more to share soon, as well as an idea of what I might do next.  This is as much as an adventure for me as it will be for you.  I hope you follow along and give me some suggestions too!DSC_0094

Blog at you later!

I'm super excited about the mystery at Road. And to see what your craftsy class will be.
