Applique Class and Show & Share

Show and Share is always fun!!

Sandy has finished all 12 blocks
of the A Tisket, A Tasket series
She squared them up and is ready
to make the filler blocks.
This was another project Sandy is working on.
An oriental table runner with
Grandmothers Flower Garden applique's
all done in oriental fabrics.
This is gonna be cool.
On Thursday morning,
Vivian shared some of her projects...
This dimensional Christmas Tree is very interesting.
She folded fabrics and added bead-work.
Amazing!
She has also started on
the Snowbound blocks
They are very cute!
Later in the day,
Michelle,
who does amazing applique,
and also works at Bolts in the Bathtub
shared this quilt top.

She made the Southwestern Fox
from a ceramic tile
created by one of her relatives.
This is awesome!

I asked her if she was gonna
make a pattern
and she didn't think anyone
would be interested in it,
what do you think?

Well,
like ususal,
I am busy.

I am going to quilt my star quilt today
and try to get it bound.

I am also designing quilt patterns
with brand new fabrics from:

Scalloped Borders

Have you ever done scalloped edges on a quilt?
I had not until this...
I watched youtube videos,
and thought about it,
and thought about it,
called a friend and inquired,
thought about it some more
and just did it.
I still need to tack down the binding on the back,
but I think it turned out pretty good,
whew!

Well that's it for the
quilt related stuff for today,
but here is a picture of Lindsay and her Dad
(my wonderful husband).
Sunday was Scott's birthday.
We spent the evening enjoying our backyard
and it was lovely.

Just thought I would throw in a picture
of our crazy cat, Ollie!
Well,
back at it,
I must keep plugging along
so I have more to share.

A Vase of Flowers

I hand appliqued this quilt quite a while ago.
I do love it.
I decided to enter it in the
That meant I needed to quilt it
and bind it before Sunday.
Yes, this Sunday!
I know it seems like
I am way ahead of schedule for me,
not to worry,
I have entered two more
that I also need to quilt and bind.
I got out my fun Flip Video
this morning and recorded myself quilting this.
I made a movie and have it right here to share...
It seems a little shaky.
I will work on improving
my quality of movies for future use.

Learning new things every day.
That's what your supposed to so, right?

Anyway,
you know I will have more to share,
so...
