New Quilts, New Toy!

I have returned from Portland. I had a great trip. A few days before we left I got a new toy! I have a new iPad and I am so excited. This is my first attempt at posting a blog from the new toy. So far I love it! Am so happy that I made the investment.
So I guess I should get busy sharing. I have been asked to speak at a quilt meeting and present a workshop. This is exciting for me. I have decided to present a workshop on Asymmetric Blocks. I need to get 2 samples to the guild so they can get some students signed up. I was originally scheduled for October, but was asked to change to August. Of course I said yes. Ten I realized I needed to get some samples made up pronto!

Dawna helped me pick out fabric Wednesday night and I finally got to cut it up on Friday. Here are the two sets of fabrics.

Both quilts will use the same block, but different fabric choices and different rotations of the blocks.

When I made the first block I was a bit excited. You know what that translates to? I made it wrong!

Darn, do over!

Wrong again! These might make new and exciting quilts, but for this project they a both wrong. Back at it again.
Finally, this one is right! Now for the other color way.
Whew! Got this one on the first try, thank goodness! Now to show you the quilts!

They are each made with 16 blocks and measure 54" x 54".

I love them both. I have sent them off to be quilted by my friend Vickie. Now to write up some instructions and a supply list. I will have to get binding on these lightening fast and send them out licking split. Guess that's how I work, like a crazy quilting woman!

Let me know what you think of these. I sure hope this blog attempt works on the first try!

Well, blog at you later,

Tiffany

The binding fairy may need a break from packing up the store this week.
