We Have a Winner!

Last night was the Annual Antelope Valley Pregnancy Counseling Center Fund Raiser Dinner!   Whew, that’s a mouthful!  This is a Pro Life event!  I am very proud to be a supporter of the center with my quilting gift.  Here is a closer view of the quilt I made:

Every year (for about 10 years now) I have made a quilt to be raffled the night of the dinner.  Sometimes, when the winner is present, they will donate the quilt back for auction.  I am just trying to set the stage for what happened last night.  I sell tickets at events (Ladies Teas, Fish Fry’s and so on) as well as to my friends and co-workers.  Sometimes I get told that there is no way they would donate it back if they won, but then there is Dawna, one of my best quilting buddies!  During the dinner last night, Dawna started texting me.  I was trying to be discrete, but check my phone anyway.  This is what transpired:

Sometimes I get to pull the winning ticket.  Last night someone else did (good thing)!

I did win the Table Decoration (by the way, the tables were beautiful).  Shhh!  Don’t tell Dawna, but this is her consolation prize, ha ha!

I  did not take very good pictures last night.  I promise to try and do better, I just get caught up in the hoopla and forget!
