We went camping at Carpinteria State Beach. What a great and relaxing week! Here's the happy campers:
Did you know there is a wonderful quilt store in Carpinteria?
It is called Roxanne's A Wish and a Dream. Check out their website and if you are ever near by, make sure you stop in. I picked up a little bit to add to my ever growing need to create. Here are my goodies.
They package them in these cute bags:
I just happened to be visiting the store last year when the shipment of bags arrived (not to brag, but I do believe I was the first to ever receive a bag like this, but definitely not the last).
When we are at the beach, the camper is parked and we travel by bicycle ( I love my bike), just so happens I have been working on an appliqué project of bicycles. Here is the first one:
What else is stirring in my studio? Well, just before we left for vacation some wonderful fabric arrived from Exclusively Quilters. It is called Sapphire and I love it! I have a plan and will try to be a better blogger so you can see what I plan to do with it.
What else you ask? Cuz you know that can't be all I have in the works. Some other great fabric has wandered into the studio as well. These are Textured Solids from Andover Fabrics. They are just great to give your quilt some texture.
I chose a few to go with the Autos line, also by Andover Fabrics.
When I got home I needed to sew! Have you ever just needed to sew? So what did I sew, you ask? Quilt blocks with the Auto & Textured fabrics.
I slapped them up on the design board. You need to know that my design board is black, so this is a bit mis- leading because I plan to set these on point with white dashing and setting triangles.
Ok, so is that enough to get me out of Blogging trouble? As always I promise to try to do better.
So, blog at you later,
Tiffany
