Twelve Moons

These panels are fabulous!
There are some others to coordinate.
My mind has made a few quilts with these already.
What are you thinking about creating?
Anyway, this line is called Twelve Moons by Robert Kaufman.
I hope it gets you in the mood to make a great quilt.

79 Stars!

It is time for me to make the annual quilt for the AVPCC
(Antelope Valley Pregnancy Counseling Center).
I make a star quilt every year with a star for each
of the babies saved from being aborted the prvious year.
This year the number is 79!
There is a Ladies Tea this year on April 10th.
I would like to get this quilt made by then.
We shall see.
Some many stars still in pieces.
I will share more as the quilt comes together.
So far, I am making 5 pointed dimensional stars.
I will put them on a background and add sashing,
hopefully later this week.

Keep tuned...

Wonderous Wednesdays

New Fun Stuff!
It is Wednesday, my day to share new fabrics in the shop.
So, here goes:
This is Bar Harbor by Moda.
It is a patiotic line with little anchors and flowers.
It is a sweet line to get us in the mood for summer.
The next line that came to the floor today is:
Cherish Nature by Moda.
This one has some great bees,
another representation of summer.
Peggy really loves the dots on brown.
Eclipse from Exclusively Quilters.
This line of yellow, black and gray fabrics adds
to the collection of the same colors
that we have alreadystarted at Bolts.
I created a quilt from this line as well.
The pattern should be in the store and on my website soon.
My website:

The last line to share today is called Nana's Garden
by Red Rooster
It is a cute line.
Very springy!

I hope this gets you in the mood to create something fun!

Spring!

It is here!

Spring!

I love spring!

It has been beautiful here.
My machine is in the shop getting a good cleaning.
Since I use her so much, she needs a good service quite often.
I hope she comes home tomorrow.
I have plenty to do.

Today we went for Lindsay's Senior Pictures.
We had a great time, but we are wiped.
Hopefully I will have some fun pictures to share tomorrow.

Till then,
Goodnight

Wonderous Wednesdays

New stuff to share!
This line just might be perfect
if you have a young girl to share it with,
or if it reminds you of being a young girl.
T
his line is from Blue Hill Fabrics.
It is called Aunt Lindy's Paper Dolls.
Come check them out.
The next line to share is Where the Buffalo Roam.
These are great Buffalo, and the quilts are interesting as well.
There are 2 quilts on the pattern sheet.
We are kitting each of them.
I personally am partial to the blue one.
There are always new lines coming out
onto the floor at Bolts.  I share just a few.
Come check them out on your own if you can.

Quilt Designs Everywhere

Check out he design in the carpet at the hotel we were staying at.
This would make a cool quilt!
Back to my eating habit.
We don't have a Waffle House in California,
so guess where we had to stop for our last out of town breakfast?
After driving for hours, we stopped for lunch at Bob's Big Boy, it was wondeful.
Well, that was yesterday.
We arrived home safe just after 5:00pm.
I am happy to be home.
It was good to sleep in my own bed
and shower in my own shower.
Now back to reality.
I am going to be teaching Beginning EQ6 on Wednesday.
This is the first time to teach this class for me.
I am a bit nervous, but I think it will be just fine.
Wish me luck,
Tiffany

What a Day!

The competition did not go as well as desired today.
Actually, the robot did not do well.
We made it to the quarter finals, but lost there.
I am sure the kids learned a lot,
and will be ready to go to Denver in a week and a half. When we left the competition, we searched for a Harley shop.
Scott was so good to take me to quilt stores, I thought it was only fair to return the favor and head to the Harley shop.

After that, we were finally hungry.
We went to another Diner, Drive-ins and Dives location.
Thee Pitts "Again" in Glendale, Az.
It was packed.
We got in quilck (since there was just the two of us).
Ordered fried Dill Pickes, I ate one.

We waited quite a while for dinner, but it was wonderful.
Here is the mural on their wall.
And here is the outside of the place.
I am full and tired.  Ready for bed.
Blog at you tomorrow,
Tiffany

Fun in Phoenix

Well, Scott and I traveled to Phoenix to support Lindsay
and Team 399 at the Robotics competition.
As long as we were here I made a list of quilt stores to visit.
The Bernina Connection was an adorable store.
It is well set up and had great stuff to get me inspired.
What a cute store.
I loved it.
At dinner time, Scott and I started in on another of my lists.
I checked out the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives from the Food Network channel.
I found a few places that had been featured on the show.
Los Taquitos, yummy!
This was the best chili reyeno I think I have ever had.
It was stuffed with cheese and potatoes.
It was great.
I am now stuffed.
Guy signed the wall.
I had to get a picture.
I plan some more adventure for tomorrow.

Wonderous Wednesdays

New beauties to share!

I love this Moda line. It is called Blush.
My creative juices are flowing
and I want to create,
but I have too much on my plate.
I must finishe at least some
of what is on my plate,
then I can start again.
This is another Moda line,
this one is called Verna.
It is cute too!
I'm trying not to look at it
(rather hard to do)!

Here is a lovely quilt, it is very spring-like.
The weather here is cold for our standards.
It is supposed to warm up this weekend.
Maybe spring is on its way.
We kitted up a few of these quilts
for anyone who wants to help rush in spring.
The line is called Garden Path,
and is from clothworks.
This panel is great.
We have many coordinates as well.
So pick up a kit, or create something on your own.
What ever you choose,
please help bring in spring.
I think I am tired of the cold and wind.

Well, I am off to Phoenix for the weekend.
It should be warm and toasty there.
We will be at a Robotics competition,
but I plan to eat well
and sneek in a few quilt stores.

Funday Friday with Monsters!

Look out, Monsters!
The quilt friends I play with most every Friday morning,
the Nimble Thimbles,
have been working on these monster blocks for some time now.
Finally we have 9 monsters to put together.
We straightened them up a bit,
gave them a trim,
and decided what to do with them next.
Ilana is gonna add some borders to them
and next week they shall get another trim.
I am sure they will show up on the blog again
in a couple of weeks.

Now for some heart blocks and pieced blocks.
These are coming togther nicely as well.
We made all these in a week.
We are over-achievers, no doubt!
We arranged them,
considered our options,
and Peggy took them home.
They should look much more like a quilt top soon.
Now for a quick personal share.
These bread rolls looked to good not to share.
They were for dinner last night and they were yummy.
I love to get someone from my household (sometimes even me)
to put ingredients into the bread maker and set it on the dough cycle.
Then we usually put the bread in a stone loaf pan and bake.
Last night I just shaped breadrolls and baked them up.
They sure were good!
I must have been in the baking mood.
I have been craving some Oatmeal Raisin Cookies for a couple of weeks.
Yesterday I made them.
I took a couple of dozen to Robotics and shared.
I left a few at home for us.
They must have been good, they are practically gone!
Well,
I need to go do some machine quilting,
then off to the Fish Fry for dinner (yea, no cooking today).
So, blog at you later,
Tiffany

Wonderous Wednesdays

Minkee, Cuddle or Whimsy
whatever you want to call it
is sure is soft and lovely.
The UPS guy brought it in this morning,
and we had it processed in the system
and out on the floor for you to see
by this afternoon!
I know this one is hard to see,
but it is a black on black
with a paisley pattern.
I just love this one!

The Owls are Quilted!

They still need binding and label,
but the quilting is done!

4:00 pm The top is done!

Good thing this little quilt only measures 36" x 36".
Now I need to cook dinner and then quilt this baby.
I hope to send it out in the morning.
Wish me luck!
